Your role and your team:

We are looking for an outstanding Graduate with a strong background in mechanical design, to join our innovative team and help us shape the future of urban e-mobility.

In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to work within the rapidly growing Battery technology Team as part of the Mechanical functional team. You will report to the Team Lead “Battery module” and be part of the multi-disciplinary Integrated Project Team (IPT) for the “Energy Storage System”

Your Day to Day:

Basic CAD design of the aircraft structural components related to the energy storage system, i.e. battery casings, cooling system or attachment brackets.
Support battery cell and energy storage casing design related development activities.
Support in the design of jigs and fixtures as well as support physical testing of the battery components (Structural, Thermal, Abuse)
Support in writing test documentation
Support definition of the testing methods used for ESS product development.
Support ESS team in prototype build and testing activities.

Your profile:

Ideally with completed B.eng and studying M.Sc studying in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
Excellent CAD skills, ideally NX
Basic experience with composite materials and their structural behaviour.
Basic understanding of electrical principles and battery systems.
Good working knowledge with Teamcenter is an added advantage
Target-oriented, driven workstyle with analytic problem-solving skills is required, as well as strong reporting and presentation skills.
Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial.
Experience with student projects like Formula Student or similar.
