The Role:
We are looking for an outstanding engineering student with a background in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science to join our innovative team that shapes the future of e-mobility.
In this position you will be part of the Loads and Aeroelastics Team within the Flight and Applied Sciences Department. You will work alongside Aerospace Engineers and support them in their activities in the development of robust calculation toolchains for loads and aeroelastic analyses.
Our Loads and Aeroelastics team works alongside highly qualified engineers using low and high-fidelity calculation and optimisation methods to ensure our aircraft and systems achieves our performance targets. We use state-of-the-art systems to deliver rapid results and encourage innovative thinking to achieve the best solutions.
Your Day to Day:
• Direct involvement in the architectural design and development of calculation methods and tools in the field of loads and aeroelasticity.
• Improve the level of automation of existing tools.
• Maturing of integration and unit testing methods.
• Handling and analysis of large and complex data sets with innovative and state-of-the-art methods.
Your profile:
• Working towards and having completed at least 3 years of an Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Programming skills in Python or Matlab are essential.
• Experience with Loads and Aeroelasticity or Finite Element tools (such as MSC Nastran) is beneficial.
• Strong motivation to help build working frameworks and processes.
• High level of self-reliance, ability to work in a team and an autonomous target-oriented workstyle is essential.
• Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German or any other language would be beneficial
• Ability to work a minimum of 6 months full time required; 12 months desired.
