Your role and your team: 

Our Business Development team is responsible for the commercialisation of Lilium, determining our go-to-market strategy, negotiating partnerships to enable our growth, and establishing a foothold in target markets prior to first operations. Critically, the team manages both strategic business development and the establishment of commercial partnerships to develop a joint service offering with Lilium: From initial discussions through the development of use cases to partnership negotiations, as well as the implementation and project management of a joint service offering and operations.

You will support the business development efforts both conceptionally and hands-on and engage with several commercial partners. You will report to the Network Development Manager and work closely with the Sales, Government Relations and Public Affairs, as well as the Business Marketing teams. This is a demanding and high-paced role, so the candidate will need to be ready to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

Your Day to Day:

  • Support the development of the commercial strategy by assessing, prioritizing, and advancing new and established markets and network models
  • Support workstreams about Network and Infrastructure with key partners
  • Work with the Sales and Business Marketing teams to specify joint service offerings and use cases
  • Keep internal and external documentation up to date based on meetings and key learnings, stay on top of respective project plans
  • Prepare meetings with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including investors, management team and partners
  • Work in a very dynamic, international team, spread across different locations
  • Collaborate extensively with internal teams to solve problems in the areas of Infrastructure, Airline Operations, and Engineering

Your Profile:

  • Currently in your M.A./M.Sc. studies or gap year
  • First experience in a very analytical/ strategic role, i.e., in a Tier 1 firm (management consulting or investment banking), and/or in a fast-growing technology company
  • Strong academic background and sound commercial orientation
  • Exceptional quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Out of the box thinker, drive, resilience and pragmatism
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; German a strong plus, French and Spanish a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fluid and changing company, handling multiple priorities
  • Availability to for 6+ months to work full-time, or minimum 12+ months to work on a working student basis with 60%-80%
