Ignition Developer

The Ignition Developer is tasked with designing, developing, and customizing applications on the Ignition platform to create APM, LMIS, MES and CMMS solutions and data visualization tools. This role involves building integrations with PLCs, OPC UA devices, and enterprise systems while ensuring effective reporting and manufacturing analytics. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from automotive manufacturing environments and a strong grasp of production metrics and data-driven reporting.

You Will: 

Application Development

• Develop and customize Ignition applications for Lucid Motors ignition portfolio, including LMIS, APM, MES, CMMS, data visualization Dashboards and Reports using Ignition modules (Perspective, IO Gateway, Sepasoft, Vision, Reports)
• Analyze the requirement received from Ignition Architect and Project Managers and develop applications with Lucid templates and theme.
• Create reusable components and libraries to streamline future development efforts.

System Integration:

• Integrate Ignition applications with PLCs, OPC UA devices, and other industrial equipment.
• Develop interfaces for seamless communication with SQL databases and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/MES/SAP/Garage/Salesforce.).
• Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize system performance.

Testing & Deployment

• Perform testing, debugging and performance tuning of the developed applications & interfaces to ensure reliability and first-time right solution.
• Collaborate with system architects and engineers during the deployment and configuration phases
• Provide post-deployment support and maintain comprehensive documentation of application designs and integration processes.

You Bring:

• Proven experience in development with the Ignition platform and its core modules.
• Strong understanding of SCADA/HMI systems and industrial automation protocols (e.g., OPC/UA, Modbus,
• Proven experience in SAP integrations, REST API connectivity, and SQL query development.
• Hands on experience with scripting languages (Python, Java) used in Ignition development.
• Experienced in writing SQL queries and hands on Database Concept of SQL servers (DDL, DML, DCL, Indexing, Join, Subquery, Union, Order by, Group By)
• Proficient knowledge of computer programming (SQL, OPC, HTML, JAVA, Phyton, C Sharp, Visual Basic)
• Strong understanding of PLC Programing: Rockwell and Siemens.
• Strong understanding of HMI Development: Rockwell, Siemens.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. With 5+ years’ experience in above mentioned work experience and skills.
