About This Role:
Crusoe is looking for an experienced and accomplished Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Director to join our expanding Health, Safety, and Environmental team. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Shared Services and will be located at our Cherry Creek / Denver Office. The HSE Director will be an integral member of the Operations Team and will support multiple groups throughout the Crusoe organization. This role will lead a team of HSE professionals across multiple regions in support of various organizational departments. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of technical safety understanding with a specific focus on oil and gas or construction activities as well as an understanding of environmental regulations with a focus on air and waste. Additional desired skills include being a proactive team member with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
A Day In The Life:
Leading a department of HSE professionals, establishing direction and setting expectations for these professionals.
Partnering with various operational departments, understanding operational risks, and developing action plans to address these risks.
Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE processes, procedures, guidelines, and other documentation as appropriate.
Ability to drive HSE performance in a fast paced and growing organization.
Ability to interpret regulations, policies, and procedures and make effective business decisions regarding these issues.
Guide the development of HSE performance metrics, including proactive and reactive metrics.
Establishing a robust incident investigation and root cause analysis process following failures, incidents, or accidents to ensure that lessons are learned and incorporated into operational practices.
Ensuring that environmental permits, plans, and authorizations are obtained and in place for business activities.
Establishing a process to monitor and assure compliance with various environmental rules and regulations.
Develop and maintain a positive HSE culture throughout the company via communications, training, and promoting active involvement in HSE programs.
You Will Thrive in this Role if:
University degree required; preferred degree in engineering, sciences, or a technical discipline.
Advanced HSE certifications (ex: CSP, REM, CHMM, etc.) preferred, but not required.
20+ years of relevant HSE and industry experience is required. Oil and gas or construction experience is preferred.
Must possess a high degree of technical knowledge of various HSE rules and regulations at both the Federal and State level.
Direct experience with design, development, and implementation of HSE regulations, policies, and procedures is a must.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Highly organized and motivated.

Compensation Range:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $160,000 - $180,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
