We are looking for a proactive and experienced Head of Quality Assurance to lead and coordinate comprehensive quality management initiatives across departments, driving our transformation into a quality-focused organization. This key leadership role is committed to fostering a quality-centric culture, with a strong emphasis on developing and implementing an effective quality management strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Strategy Development & Execution
    • Define a company-wide total quality management strategy, emphasizing standardization and continuous improvement.
    • Translate the defined strategy in a realistic action plan for all involved departments.
    • Define quality objectives and KPIs to measure progress and impact, reporting regularly to senior management.
  • ISO Certification Process
    • Serve as the primary coordinator to guide the teams in the certification journey for ISO norms.
    • Ensure all departments adhere to the relevant non-requirements and organise internal audits to maintain compliance.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination
    • Collaborate with R&D, product Management, marketing, sales, and operations teams to align quality processes and foster a unified quality culture.
    • Oversee and assess the quality control processes within each department, ensuring alignment with Smappee’s broader goals.
  • Quality Systems Implementation
    • Establish quality assurance and control methodologies, policies, and documentation to support Smappee’s quality goals.
    • Manage quality-related risks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
    • Support the teams with external communication related to quality topics.
  • Training & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Educate and train employees at all levels on quality standards, processes, and stress the importance of quality in every department.
    • Serve as a quality ambassador, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and applying structured methodologies.
  • Data-Driven Quality Reporting
    • Implement a quality data tracking and reporting system (in collaboration with operational and service team) to provide insights, support decision-making, and foster transparency.
    • Present regular updates to senior management on quality initiatives, results, and improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master degree in Quality Leading Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a quality management role, ideally with a focus on ISO certifications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and executing quality management strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and experience in implementing and maintaining certification processes.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with a keen focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
