Lucid is looking for a Head of Europe HR to be part of our growing team.  This is an exciting time to join Lucid as we deliver the future of luxury mobility.  This individual plays a critical leadership role in delivering both strategic and operational partnership and provide local leadership while being part of a global HR team, serving as the face of HR for the Region.  This leader will oversee all HR functions in the Region, while having a partner relationship with COE functions in HQ.

As part of HR team, you will partner with leaders and COEs to implement and monitor HR plans and programs that support our business strategies.  You will be responsible for designing, implementing and administering corporate programs across various HR areas, while ensuring a positive culture.

Responsibilities

  • This role will provide support across various HR program areas including but not limited to:
  • Total Rewards (compensation, payroll, and benefits)
  • Culture and Business Partnership (HR program design and management of best practices employee relations, performance management, and change management)
  • Employment and Labor laws (including safety and COVID response)
  • Talent Management (talent acquisition, training and development, and diversity & inclusion)
  • People/HR Systems (record keeping, data privacy/management)
  • Talent Mobility including relocation and immigration
  • Talent Acquisition including M&A Activities
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver and implement HR programs and policies aligned with business strategy and priorities.
  • Provide HR guidance and consultation for managers and employees to improve work relationships
  • Proactively identify organizational needs and offer HR solutions, including standing up new countries in support of business growth
  • Be responsible end-to-end employee lifecycle support, including onboarding, integration, performance management, talent assessment, and offboarding
  • Resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Partner with the extended HR team 
  • Additionally, the role will deliver the following:
  •  Ensures compliance with local laws and regulations and serves as a local subject matter expert for COVID response protocols. 
  • Assesses and understands current and anticipated labor laws and guidelines and adjusts HR programs to comply with regulations while keeping the overall HR team informed.
  • Partners with local leaders in managing ongoing performance and positive culture.
  • Counsel employees concerning work-related problems and provides feedback to management as appropriate.
  • Provides a bridge for smooth communication between HR, leadership, managers, and employees.
  • Provides education and guidance to employees and management on HR systems/processes/ policies.
  • Serves as the HR subject matter expert and provides guidance to employees and leadership as required.
  • Participates in and provides oversight for the design, development and implementation of employee programs, adopting company standards while understanding local nuances as needed.
  • Manages and executes employee on-boarding and off boarding and drives ongoing enhancement of employee lifecycle programs.
  • Maintains HRIS records, generates data, and analyzes trends to suggest and influence effective HR and business solutions.
  • Supports company initiatives and maintains records for local and EU required reporting.
  • Maintains and updates employee handbooks.
  • Ensures data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Assists and supports benefit administration while staying updated on competitive benefit offerings.
  • Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years leading a team.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in multiple HR functions, program design and procedures, including but not limited to, HR business partnership, HRIS/systems administration, payroll, compensation and benefits, employee programs, employee relations, performance management, training and development, data reporting/analysis, and COVID response. Strong working knowledge of labor laws, local guidelines, and regulations, with a solid network to stay updated on anticipated changes.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering on multiple commitments and taking initiative with proven ability to learn from all experiences and cultures to drive projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and emotional maturity.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail to ensure quality in every interaction and deliverable. 
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS and Payroll process and system administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resource Management or related field.  Masters preferred.   
  • Automotive industry or start up experience preferred.
