About the company:

WeaveGrid works with utilities and electric vehicle (EV) owners to enable and accelerate the electrification of transportation.

Using machine learning, optimization, and predictive analytics, our software solution solves several EV-grid integration challenges for utilities in a systems-oriented manner; helps integrate renewable energy resources on the grid; and saves utility customers money on their bills.

Our vision is to drive the rapid decarbonization of the transportation and electric networks by intelligently connecting EVs to the grid.

About the role

WeaveGrid clients include the biggest utilities in the country. We unlock value for these clients by helping their EV-driving customers connect their vehicles to our application through a simple three-step registration process. Once connected, we shape their vehicles’ charging patterns to solve multibillion-dollar risks to utility infrastructure posed by the rise of EVs.

Our impact for utilities grows with our connected vehicles.

Stepping into the Head of Driver Marketing role, you’ll be directly responsible for helping WeaveGrid build a massive base of connected drivers, shaping our driver-facing brand, leading driver acquisition initiatives and guiding enterprise partners (utilities, automaker OEMs and others) on high-impact growth initiatives they fund.

You’ll build and lead a team to support your efforts and drive some of the most foundational metrics for our company’s success.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a driver-facing brand that conveys trust and value with drivers, as well as to utility clients/prospects and automaker partners, while representing a coherent part of the WeaveGrid identity
  • Lead consumer marketing across all WeaveGrid-led and via utility client- and OEM partner-facilitated channels to maximize driver registration
  • Build a stellar, nimble consumer marketing team that rapidly evaluates targeted channels, effectively works with internal and external partners, and hits strategic goals
  • Optimize WeaveGrid’s mix of driver-focused campaigns and channels (both partner-facilitated and WG-led) to register drivers at targeted acquisition costs
  • Create assets and messaging to tell a coherent, compelling story about WG driver-facing value, such that prospective drivers, prospective utility clients and OEM industry partners trust the WeaveGrid driver application and want to use and promote it
  • Guide driver-facing content development to support core messaging and drive organic growth
  • Develop content, strategies and case studies to support effective utility client and OEM partner deployment of marketing resources for acquiring drivers

About you

You’re an experienced marketing leader with a track record of conceiving and executing successful marketing campaigns that have meaningfully contributed to achieving your company’s strategic goals.

You’ve also demonstrated your ability to effectively engage with external stakeholders in creating successful campaigns, leveraging partner resources and channels to achieve your marketing goals.

You have strong intuition on brand development and positioning, including in complex situations that may involve parent brand hierarchies, partner brand associations and white-labeling.

Most of all, you’re ready to step up to a big, bare canvas and draw on your unique experience to scale a business that can meaningfully reduce global climate risk.

You have:

  • Previously achieved impressive business outcomes in consumer marketing, with at least 7 years of experience
  • Led marketing initiatives end to end - from strategy to tactical implementation, as an active contributor and manager of specialists
  • Recruited and managed high-performing marketing teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • Built campaigns and developed effective marketing strategies from scratch in startup environments
  • Demonstrated you can work with (and lead) enterprise partners on marketing initiatives, as well as deliver results in B2C marketing
  • Comfort getting things done yourself when needed, as well as recruiting the right specialists to execute when it makes sense
  • Worked closely with quantitative analysts / performance marketers to run campaigns, and know how to effectively collaborate on experiment design and assess channel / campaign viability
  • Shown your ability to operate cross-functionally and make your collaborators successful
  • Keen brand strategy acumen and experience shaping a consumer brand
  • A track record of successfully managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
  • Infectious curiosity and an experimental mindset
  • A commitment to reducing climate risk in your work
