Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Our sights are set high and our problems are hard, and we believe that diversity in the workplace is what makes us smarter, drives better insights, and will ultimately lift us all to success. We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.

Archer is scaling from development into production and operations. As we grow, we need a progressive, impact-driven leader to supercharge our enterprise technology solutions. The role demands someone who can build real depth across Finance, Supply Chain, People, Legal, and Commercial systems, while connecting these capabilities into a powerful end-to-end backbone that strengthens how the business operates day to day.

This is about creating durable foundations, reducing complexity, and enabling every function at Archer to move faster with cleaner processes, better data, and more predictable outcomes.

The role blends product leadership, enterprise architecture awareness, functional domain expertise, and strong stakeholder partnership. Success means eliminating fragmentation, accelerating decision-making, reducing manual work, and ensuring Archer’s systems flex and scale as we move into high-rate production and commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Application Ownership

Own the full lifecycle of Archer’s enterprise application ecosystem including (examples):
• Finance (ERP modules, FP&A, procurement workflows)
• Supply Chain and Operations (inventory, planning interfaces, vendor management, quality systems connectivity)
• People & Workplace (HRIS, ATS, LMS, Legal, Compliance, H&S)
• Commercial & Front Office (CRM, sales operations tooling)
• Corporate productivity platforms and workflow systems

Ensure these systems converge toward a coherent, secure, scalable application backbone that reduces complexity and supports Archer’s rate and certification goals.

2. Product Strategy & Roadmapping

Create a single enterprise roadmap that links system evolution to Archer’s operating and financial plans.
Define clear product boundaries, drive architectural simplification, and rationalize duplicative tools.
Translate business needs into structured, intentional capability development with crisp prioritization.

3. Partner to Finance, Supply Chain, People, and Commercial Leaders

Serve as the primary technology partner for Archer’s corporate functions.
Work closely with CFO, CHRO, COO/Supply Chain leadership, Legal, and Commercial teams to ensure systems drive efficiency, compliance, and data quality.
Enable tight integration between engineering, manufacturing, and back-office processes.

4. Operational Excellence & System Maturity

Stabilize and mature core systems, eliminating papercuts, manual workarounds, and fragmented workflows.
Establish disciplined change management, clear data governance practices, and measurable SLAs.
Ensure systems meet audit, regulatory, and financial control requirements.

5. Leadership & Team Development

Lead a cross-functional Business Solutions team including product managers, analysts, solution architects, and configuration specialists.
Build a culture of curiosity, speed, user-centricity, and measurable outcomes.
Partner with the CIO’s Platform Engineering, Data, and Cyber teams to align architecture, standards, and security.

What Good Looks Like (12–18 months)

  • A unified enterprise applications strategy with clear system-of-record boundaries
    • Material reduction in manual processes across Finance, Supply Chain, People, and Commercial
    • A stable, predictable operational environment with significantly improved user satisfaction
    • Clear ownership and governance of cross-functional business processes
    • Streamlined financial close, procurement, inventory, and workforce processes enabled by technology
    • A living roadmap aligned to Archer’s rate manufacturing and commercial readiness trajectory

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leading enterprise applications or business systems in a complex, fast-growing environment
    • Strong functional understanding across Finance, Supply Chain, HR/People systems, and commercial tooling
    • Demonstrated experience building product-oriented teams and maturing enterprise platforms
    • Track record simplifying legacy environments and driving measurable operational efficiency
    • Ability to influence C-level stakeholders and translate business needs into structured, scalable solutions
    • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or regulated industries is a plus but not required
