We are seeking a commercially driven individual to join our team as an Associate Growth Specialist, focusing on B2B acquisition. This role involves working on various projects, including: improving customer experience, new product innovation and market analysis within the Octopus Energy for Business team. You will play a key role in identifying commercial growth opportunities, maintaining customer-centric partnerships and running market research campaigns.

What you'll do
Identify opportunities for customer growth across the UK market. Support the development and delivery of initiatives to grow our customer base.Create customer facing documents detailing bespoke propositions and offerings.Produce online marketing and informative content.Driving growth at exhibitions or internal team events. Digital sales conversion, click-through analysis and understanding improvements that can be applied with this understandingReport on and analyse weekly performance of marketing and digital content across multiple platforms. Customer Data Analysis:
Perform regular deep-dive analysis of our existing customer base to uncover trends, usage patterns and retention drivers.Evaluate segmentation strategies and recommend potential targeted product offerings.Trend and Market Awareness:
Monitor and interpret market trends, competitor activity and regulatory developments within the business energy supply sector.Provide insights to the wider team on how these factors could influence customer needs and our own product development.Regulatory Foresight and Innovation:
Use upcoming regulatory changes (such as Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement) as a catalyst for developing innovative, future-ready products and services.Collaborate with our regulatory team to ensure alignment.Customer Experience Evaluation:
Regularly gather and analyse customer happiness feedback.Identify common issues, bottlenecks or areas for service improvement and collaborate with the relevant teams to resolve them.Contacting existing customers and new customers to assist with quoting issues or requests from other internal teams, such as Marketing or Partnerships.Sales Team Collaboration:
Maintain regular contact with both field and inbound sales teams to understand evolving customer expectations.Use sales feedback to refine product offerings and value propositions.Collaborating with L&D teams to provide sales information/training documents for new propositions.
What you'll need
Marketing experience across both online and offline channels.A track record of contributing to business performance, including involvement in measuring return on investment (ROI).Customer-facing experience, demonstrating interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers, partners or stakeholders.Experience working within a commercially focused team and collaborated across multiple teams such as sales, operations and product.Comprehensive writing skills and experience in producing external content (e.g. blog posts & campaign materials) to promote external engagement.Draw meaningful insights and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.Comfortable using analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Google Analytics or business intelligence platforms) to track performance, identify trends and advise on decision-making.Why else you'll love it here
