Graphic Design - Intern

Your Role and your Team:

In this position, you will work closely together with all members of the lilium design team. You will conduct and implement the design strategy and language for the Lilium jet and its product features and express it in all graphical and interactive detail to bring it to the next level.

We are looking for someone whose passion for iconic and minimal design matches their outstanding creativity. You will be highly driven and motivated to envision and apply smart + standalone graphical solutions and will roll up your sleeves and work hands-on to be part of developing our full range of diverse products + customer experience. Doing so you will help shaping the future of mobility with us.

Your Day to Day:

• Understand and put customer needs first, applying your thinking and decision process around the design space of Lilium. This will include graphical applications for exterior, interior, materials, lighting design, vertiport and applications for our entire eco-system 
• Understand and integrate parametric pattern, etc.
• Create exceptional graphical and ideally also interactive content
• Work hand in hand together with the full product design team and develop our color spectrum further with our CMT department
• Demonstrate a strong respect for how your ideas can be transferred to a real but also digital application
• Work on any ad hoc related projects or tasks provided by manager

Your Profile:

• Currently you are signed up in a B.S., B.A., M.S., M.A. in graphic design, interactive design, illustration, or similar university course (which runs until at least 2023 or beyond). Ideally you have collected various experience in the industry doing multiple design projects aimed at real world solutions and can express the full range of design potential.
• You are a true creator. You are fast in realising rough proposals from scratch to proof your idea + concept design.
• A previous experience in graphic design, preferably for a major international company, lifestyle company or design agency is highly appreciated
• Excellent skills in Adobe CC such as Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. are necessary.
• The ability to adapt to our formal language + DNA and create outstanding design within our Lilium design values.
• High level of self-reliance with the ability to work cohesively in a design team as well as autonomously
• Target-oriented, highly driven workstyle with analytical and creative problem-solving skills are required
• You are highly proactive and like to challenge the status quo of experience, aesthetic, and mobility together with us
• Fluent English language skills are essential. German and other languages would be beneficial
