This is what you’ll do:

  • Our perception team is a diverse group of algorithm developers focused on creating a real-time virtual representation of the local environment around the autonomous vehicle as well as determining where the vehicle is in the world, both globally and relative to its environment. This is accomplished by processing and fusing input data from multiple sensors including cameras, radars, LIDARs, GPS, IMU, and ultrasonic sensors.
  • In this role, you will be integrating world-class global and relative localization systems into our autonomous vehicle architecture. You will be responsible for developing high precision GNSS algorithms and integrity monitoring for these algorithms. You will also be migrating these algorithms to a real-time embedded system, prototyping on autonomous vehicles, testing, and completing functional safety and productization activities. 

This is what you’ll need:

  • S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
  • Research and development experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • GNSS Positioning Engine (PE)
    • High-precision GNSS (RTK, PPP, Integer Ambiguity Resolution)
    • GNSS integrity (RAIM, Protection Level)
    • Stochastic estimation/Kalman filtering
  • C/C++ programming experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
  • Good team player with great communication skills
  • Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product
  • Preferred skills:
    • Experience with GNSS measurement engine (ME)
    • Experience with both OSR and SSR
    • Sensor fusion with IMU and/or Odometry
    • Prototyping real-time applications
    • Embedded software development and optimization experience
    • Software development for safety critical systems (ISO 26262)
    • Vehicle integration experience
