GNC - Simulation Engineer

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Improve the fidelity and capabilities of our vehicle and environment simulation such that it can be used for certification</span></li> </ul> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Analyze flight test data, ground test data, and lab test data to improve our models</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Work with internal and external suppliers to integrate their systems into our simulation</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with Systems Safety and Systems Engineering to analyze any deficiencies in the Flight Control System.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What you need:</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong knowledge of vehicle (aircraft or rotorcraft) dynamics, control laws, sensor noise, high voltage batteries, and actuators.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">3+ years of relevant industry experience</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">MS or Phd in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience using simulation for certification credit</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience applying system identification techniques to aircraft or rotorcraft</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience flight testing piloted and/or autonomous aircraft or rotorcraft</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Piloting experience (aircraft or rotorcraft)</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
