This position will be within the Fluence Digital business unit. Fluence Digital’s IQ platform uses artificial intelligence, advanced price forecasting, portfolio optimization and market bidding to ensure energy storage and flexible generation assets are optimally participating in wholesale electricity markets.

The GL Accountant (m/f/d) will be a member of the EMEA Finance team and will report directly to the EMEA Controller.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive global accountant who will be responsible for the management of the general ledger for the EMEA entities. In addition, provide support with various accounting related projects. The role will support the EMEA month end close process from start to finish and ensure proper financial reporting for our EMEA entities.

Your tasks:

· Oversee and manage the EMEA general ledgers

· support the greater EMEA finance team in completing the closing procedures

· Support the internal and external audit requirements for both group and statutory audits

· Support the transition of procure to pay processes to the CoE

· Support the EMEA region in SOX control compliance

· Improve the purchase requisition process from an accounting perspective

· Support on VAT filings

Your skills:

The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting and at least 4 years of progressive accounting experience. You will need to be hands-on and a pro-active self-starter with a proven track record of grit and determination to drive process improvements.

• in-depth knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry postings

• experience in supporting audit documentation

• attention for detail and can recognize the business matter behind the journal entry posting

• strong analytical skills

• experience with SoX control performance

• good communicator, good stakeholder management skills and a proactive personality

• ability to work in a dynamic organization, embracing change and working independently

• fluent English and German verbal and written language skills are required

• NetSuite experience is a must
