As a Geartrain System Analysis Engineer at Lucid Motors, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and simulation of geartrain systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with our engineering team to design and refine geartrain systems for various electric drive units.
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

The Role:
Geartrain Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of geartrain systems to assess their efficiency, NVH, durability, and overall performance.Simulation: Utilize advanced simulation software (Romax or similar) to model geartrain systems and predict behavior under different operating conditions. Perform fatigue analysis for planetary carriers, shaft and planet pins using appropriate tools.Design Evaluation: Collaborate with design engineers to evaluate geartrain design concepts and provide recommendations for improvements.Failure Analysis: Investigate geartrain system failures and implement corrective measures to enhance reliability and safety.Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials for geartrain components to meet performance and durability requirements.Testing and Validation: Plan and execute physical tests and experiments to validate the performance of geartrain systems.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing geartrain systems and suggest design modifications for improved performance.Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of analysis results, simulations, and design changes.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure seamless integration of geartrain systems.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that geartrain systems meet industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven prior experience of 2 years in geartrain system analysis, design, and simulation.Proficiency in using geartrain analysis software and simulation tools (e.g., Romax, ANSYS, MATLAB).Strong knowledge of material science and tribology as it relates to geartrain components.Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision in analysis and documentation.Preferred:
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., AGMA, ISO) is a plus.Education:
