YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

Essential functions:

Executing shelf-life and product testing plan of in-house and commercial products (sampling preparation, product testing, data collecting, reporting), and quality testing ingredient inputs.

Documentation (Product Vision) + interface with QA, product spec sheets, ingredient spec-sheet review, entering data in Product Vision.

Maintain equipment calibration and maintenance, lab audits for good practices and improvement opportunities, and generate reports.

In-product protein quality testing (test protein lots in target products), report outcome.

Other functions:

General lab support.

Identify quality control improvements, and ensure company compliance.

Sensory panel participant.

KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

Associates degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or Life Sciences with 1-2 years of experience in the food industry is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biological Sciences, or Life Science, is a plus.

Food analysis experience in an R&D or food manufacturing environment, knowledge of food GMP and HACCP.

Prior operation of food analysis instruments.

Objective approach to work, understanding priorities via efficient communication.

Disciplined approach to the understanding scope of experiments with guidance from a Research Scientist.

Flawless execution of tasks at hand while practicing GMP and upholding the highest standards of food and personal safety.
