The ADAS/AD team is currently looking for experienced FMEA engineer who would lead the development failure mode evaluation and analysis for the safety critical ADAS AD systems.  Ideal candidates would have a focus on the quality of the hardware product and the product deployment process, be capable of engaging hardware and software engineers, integration and manufacturing teams, systems owners across the company. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Responsibilities:

  • Feature definition, HARA, safety goal development, FTA, at vehicle- and system-level 
  • Lead DFMEA, SFMEA, PFMEA activities for ADAS AD systems 
  • Ensure all relevant work is correctly documented and traceable 
  • Support the development of ADAS sensors, compute systems from initial concept to SOP with excellence and great detail 
  • Work closely with various functions across the company  
  • Work with multiple complex projects in a demanding environment 
  • Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in working at the intersection of product design, engineering, manufacturing, integration, and quality 
  • Proven track record of effective and timely execution and delivery of cross team projects 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Understanding of systems and components integration for automotive 
  • Experience in designing, debugging, testing and bringing up complex hardware/software systems 
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive functional safety 
  • Experience and good understanding of vehicle systems, especially ADAS AD area 
  • Proven experience working with DFMEA, SFMEA and/or PFMEA 
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols 
  • Proven understanding of ISO 26262 & IEC 61508 
  • Ability to read and work with system diagrams, electrical schematics, etc 
  • Willing to travel to support build issues and field issues 
  • Education:

  • BS is preferred in CS, EE
