We are searching for Fluid Systems Engineer Interns with a passion for tackling climate change. With the company being just two years old, they will get an unparalleled look at the early days of a startup and contribute to bringing the technology from concept to proof point. You will be based onsite in Natick, MA and will report into the Lead Mechanical Engineer. There will be transportation required to our Devens, MA facility. 

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Design and build novel equipment and machines to support rapid R&D of electrochemical cells 
  • Upgrade and troubleshoot existing electromechanical systems 
  • Evaluate P&ID's and process diagrams for fluid systems 
  • Manage bill of materials and design documentation 
  • Source specific components including mechanical hardware, fluid hardware and electrical components 
  • Create custom drawings and system specifications 
  • Work closely with suppliers to manage part quality and delivery timing 
  • Evaluate samples, build prototype components, and assemble prototype systems 
  • Develop and perform component and system level testing 

Qualifications 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or similar 
  • Experience with engineering design process 
  • Fluid and electrical system experience preferred 
  • Hands-on experience building and debugging systems 
  • 2D/3D CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) 

Compensation and Benefits 

  • All students will have the opportunity to develop skills, gain laboratory experience and benefit from a valuable experience within a start-up culture while learning about the energy industry. 
  • $1,500 transportation stipend will be provided or $3,000 relocation stipend (depending on location).

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
