BETA Technologies is seeking a driven aerospace engineer with flight dynamics modeling and simulation experience to help design the future of electric aviation. You will support vehicle design and analysis through all phases of the program, including conceptual sizing, modeling and simulation, and flight test validation. As an integral member of of BETA's growing team, you will be highly motivated to work with dynamic, cross-functional groups to ensure the success of the aircraft through certification.

Responsibilities:
Support component and vehicle-level modeling efforts, including model creation, integration, and test in 6 degree-of-freedom simulationDesign and execute vehicle simulation studies to support subsystem requirement and test developmentGenerate test cards and evaluate flight data to improve modeling accuracy of vehicle performance, stability, and controlConduct pilot-in-the-loop simulation studies to support handling qualities evaluationsRequirements:
2-5 years experience with flight dynamics analysis in 6 degree-of-freedom simulation environmentsSkilled with post-processing analytical and empirical data to create and/or improve aerodynamic databases and dynamical system modelsProficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and PythonConceptual understanding of fixed wing and rotorcraft systems to help drive holistic understanding of aircraft design considerationsStrong ability to work both as a part of a team and as an individualComfortable with a dynamic work environment and a passion to perform under pressureDesire to change the world of aviation forever
