What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of electric vehicle and fleet directions and trends, and how to effectively integrate electric vehicles and charging infrastructure into fleet operations.
• Responsible for the design, illustration, revision, and presentation of technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Analyze and perform detailed calculations for electrical service load profiling, accounting for vehicle charging characteristics, duty cycle, electricity cost and demand, as well as operational and other constraints.
• Provide both general best practice and site specific electrical and civil engineering recommendations, including reviewing site layouts, proposing charger types and locations, developing single-line diagrams and CAD site layouts.
• Work with customers and contractors on creative solutions to address unique site challenges, including EVSE mounting, EVSE protective measures, cable management, and other items that may impact ability to deploy ChargePoint solutions.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant state and local codes, specifically related to Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
• Provide technical demonstrations and training on our products and solutions.
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs.
• Responsible for identifying technical issues that may affect customer satisfaction and proactively work to solve such issues.

Requirements

• B.S or M.S in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of experience in an electrical engineering capacity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong customer facing and relationship building skills
• Proficient with CAD and Microsoft Office
• Fleet vehicle operations or large facility experience desired
• Business driven mindset
• Travel requirement: up to 50% travel within the United States and Canada.

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $65,000 to $156,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
