We are looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager who will:

The responsibilities and duties of the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be as follows:

  • Lead a team of two – FP&A Manager and Planning & Reporting Analyst – and be an active member of the Finance Leadership Team
  • Preparation of the Long Range Plan working with key stakeholders who will be bringing the product (VX-4) to market and engaging our various investors
  • Co-ordinating the detailed budget and rolling forecast process, partnering with the Programme Finance team and wider company management team
  • Ownership of all planning and reporting models including the Infor d/EPM reporting system, Board & ExCo reporting and internal Finance reports
  • Managing cash flow expectations in line with the changing business plan quickly identifying future funding needs
  • Creation of a KPI library to manage the business bringing together finance and business performance
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis projects to provide more insight into our current spend and opportunities for improvement

The successful Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will have the following Experience & Qualifications:

  • Commercial Finance experience – specifically strategy, product or campaign launches. The VX4 will be a new product in a new market. The ideal candidate has experience of a dynamic business environment beyond audit, accounting and reporting
  • Excellent understanding of business finance – how decisions impact the accounts and the ability to identify opportunities outside of the numbers
  • An ability to cut through ambiguity and find a way to get things done and provide clarity
  • The confidence and assurance to manage stakeholders with multiple fast-moving priorities and little time
  • The flexibility to create and evolve financial plans in a fast growing organisation
  • A desire to work with pace in a rapidly changing, hugely entrepreneurial environment
  • A high intellectual pedigree supported by first class academic achievement

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Aerospace/manufacturing experience
  • Experience of working in a high growth / scale-up company
  • Experience of financial planning and modelling
