We’re head-over-heels with low carbon tech such as heat pumps, solar PV & EV chargers - which instantly help reduce a customer’s carbon footprint and give them control over their energy use.

As the Solar Field Operations Team Leader you will be leading a regional field team within the residential solar PV installation business. The team's function is to survey customers' homes to check that they are suitable for solar installations. You will be responsible for the day to day operations of the regional team.

You will have management of the south regional team and will work with them & cross-functional teams (sales, install support, aftercare etc) to prioritise the biggest opportunities to improve capacity and quality, and how to roll out, test and track updates to teams in the field.

What you’ll do:

Lead a regional field team to carry out solar surveys in people's homes

Ensure all field teams provide the best possible customer service by managing the individual performance of field teams;

Ensure all surveys meet all compliance criteria;

Lead the teams to ensure health and safety is at the forefront of day-to-day tasks;

Review and manage cost control of all solar surveying activities;

Engage the team to understand and define key issues for improvement/opportunities;

Promote the teams to work together to find solutions to daily challenges and promote new ways of working

Continue to carry out some surveys to stay close to the challenges in the field;

Support cross-manager information sharing and collaboration

Check & process expenses, overtime sheets & field per diem’s

Plan and deliver onboarding for new starters, organising tools, cars & travel logistics

What you’ll need:

Highly organised and structured way of working;

An ability to lead from the front, joining team in the field on surveys

Strong people management skills, motivate and sustain a high performing team

Remote working, able to travel across area regularly to regions

Ability to lead and inspire field team to deliver epic customer service and support them to work safely and compliantly;

Passionate about customers with the desire to own any problems and manage customers to a positive outcome;

Able to pick up new technical knowledge quickly and communicate to the team

Proactive, anticipating the needs of customers, your team and your colleagues
