About the role....

We are looking for a summer intern to work from May through August 2023 that will support our Product Development Operations team. Students will perform a variety of responsibilities at the Inari Farm with a focus on pollinations of corn and soybeans. This role reports to the Nursery Operations Lead and is based out of our location in Lafayette, IN.  We are looking for students who want to help Inari feed the world; if this is you, please apply!

As a Field Research Operations Intern, you will…

  • Lead or assist with all aspects of field operations including plot maintenance, pollinations, data collection, and irrigation activities. 
  • Supervise and train temporary employees and ensure a safe working environment
  • Gain an understanding of field operations related to corn and soybean breeding.  
  • Assist with inventory and quality assurance management. 
  • Travel locally to Inari sites as needed. 
  • Enjoy the opportunity and experience of working in the field during the growing season

  • Undergraduate student in the School of Agriculture
  • Ability to work from May 15, 2023 through August 11, 2023
