The Facilities and Equipment Project Manager is responsible for supporting relationship management with Material Flow suppliers and service providers. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning for resource allocation, forecasting, cost management, while meeting dynamic project timelines.

You Will
Responsible for procurement and implementation of material handling equipment for new vehicle launch programs.Procurement activities include creating equipment bid packages, review, evaluation and summarizing of supplier bids, and making supplier selection recommendations. Specification activities include verifying that supplier equipment meets corporate and plant standards, managing equipment design, build, buy-off, installation and start-up.Equipment types managed include forklifts, tuggers, AGVs, dollies, and Conveyors. Assist in the development of budget plans for capital expenditures to assist in future growth and process improvements.Track and manage MFE program funding including funds available, committed, and spent for material flow equipment budget.Evaluate reuse, salvage, and scrap condition of existing equipment.Manage the vendor change order process.Familiarity with lean material flow engineering practices.Establish maintenance procedures for purchased equipment.Material Flow Equipment inventory management for multiple facilities. Identification and implementation coordination of equipment reuse and modification activities. Work with the internal Material Flow Engineering team to schedule designs, prototypes, and fabrication of Lean material handling equipment.Organize hourly staff daily tasks to support skilled trades labKnowledgeable in general machine shop tools, including welding, and portable tools.You Bring

PowerPoint etc.)Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. Master’s Degree in one of these fields is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.LEAN, GK, or Six Sigma Certifications a plus.
