What you will do:

As Facilities Electrician II (Apprenticeship Level), you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components that support the day-to-day operations of our facilities. You’ll work under general supervision, performing more complex tasks with greater independence than an entry-level electrician. Your work ensures the safety, efficiency, and functionality of all electrical infrastructure across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain lighting, power distribution, fire and life safety systems and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure safety. Regularly inspect building services including HVAC and plumbing.  
  • Wire panels, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, motors, and other electrical systems according to blueprints and code 
  • Identify issues in malfunctioning systems using meters, schematics, and diagnostic tools; repair or replace defective components. Assist with issues in the building management systems equipment and perform hands-on repairs or help with coordinating with vendors as needed 
  • Respond to service requests and work orders for electrical and other facilities requests needs in office spaces, production areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior systems. 
  • Make sure all work complies with NEC and local codes, as well as NFPA and internal safety standards. 
  • Coordinate with HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and operations teams for integrated facility solutions. 
  • Maintain records of inspections, repairs, materials used and completed tasks using maintenance management software (CMMS).  
  • Check systems like fire alarms, security, elevators, and energy management tools to ensure compliance and functionality. 
  • Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

 

What we need you to bring to the team (Requirements) 

  • High School Diploma or GED. Currently entered in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience 
  • 3+ years of experience as an apprentice electrician 
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent field experience 
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety practices 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints 
  • Valid electrician’s license or certification (if applicable to your location) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
  • Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces

  • Strong electrical safety skills 
  • Previous experience with commercial projects 
  • OSHA familiar  
  • Chemical Lab experience a plus 
  • Familiar with 6s 

Compensation: 

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $28-$34 hourly and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
