Lucid is seeking a highly motivated Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Technician to join the Corporate Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability team. The EHS Technician will support R&D, engineering, and facilities, among others, to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations as well as conformance to company standards.

You Will:

  • Support daily EHS operations in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and highly collaborative environment.
  • Perform risk assessments and job hazard analysis.
  • Review work instructions and work practices to identify the need for additional controls.
  • Drive corrective action resolution with a hands-on and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Conduct routine EHS and safety equipment inspections (Gemba, Forklift, Eyewash, etc.). 
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations.
  • Manage hazardous waste program.
  • Stock and distribute EHS supplies (i.e. PPE, spill supplies, waste supplies).
  • Provide basic EHS training and information flow down sessions.
  • Review Incident Reports ensuring all documentation is accounted for and properly recorded.
  • Act as a first responder to incidents, providing prompt/detailed reporting.
  • Drive actions that influence continuous improvement, linked to EHS performance metrics.
  • Organize, file, and maintain EHS documentation, including compliance records.
  • You Bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years in an Environment, Health & Safety related field. Experience in the automotive or electric vehicle industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety-related discipline is a plus.
  • Training on EHS subject matters preferred, including Hazardous Waste Generator RCRA Training, Hazardous Waste Shipper DOT Training, and HAZWOPER 40 Training.
  • Basic understanding of general manufacturing safety processes, procedures, and requirements.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to prioritize and execute work among competing priorities.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and positive attitude; enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. 
  • Comfortable working with all levels and functions to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time and climb stairs.
