Zoox is seeking an Enterprise Data Governance Analyst to help establish consistent, trusted, and well-managed data across the organization. You will strengthen Zoox’s data foundations by ensuring that data is high-quality, well-defined, secure, and usable for engineering, business, and AI/ML teams.

In this role, you will:
Maintain and evolve Zoox’s Enterprise Business Glossary, ensuring clear definitions, ownership, and alignment across systems and teamsPartner with BizApps, PLM, AI/ML, Safety, and Engineering to validate terms, resolve definition gaps, and maintain semantic consistencyDocument business rules, data standards, metadata requirements, and critical data elements to support enterprise governanceSupport data quality initiatives by identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and helping define remediation approachesContribute to evaluating Zoox’s Databricks environment to understand current capabilities and opportunities for governance at scaleMaintain governance documentation, procedures, and workflows while supporting working groups and cross-team communicationsQualifications
BS degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field4 to 6 years of experience in data management or data governance within a regulated environmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured componentsExperience with SQL, Python, Databricks, or similar data analysis toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholdersDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple concurrent tasks
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with metadata management, business glossaries, or data catalog toolsUnderstanding of data quality practices or governance frameworksFamiliarity with enterprise applications such as SAP, PLM, or Salesforce
