What You Will Be Doing:

You will lead and support a team of Engineering Technicians who play a critical role in Helion’s mechanical engineering development efforts. In this role, you will manage daily operations, prioritize technician workloads, and ensure safe, high-quality execution of system build and test activities. This is an onsite role based at our Everett, WA campus, reporting to one of our Production Managers.

You Will:

  • Drive rapid hardware development by deeply understanding design challenges and identifying opportunities to solve them through build, test, and iteration
  • Partner closely with engineers, technicians, fabricators, and managers to execute complex mechanical systems development and testing
  • Mentor and develop technicians, reinforcing best practices and continuously raising technical standards and execution quality
  • Plan and coordinate daily technician activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including radiation protection and environmental standards
  • Establish and maintain quality control practices that meet or exceed industry standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to operations, inventory, and equipment maintenance

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience leading technical teams, including task assignment, performance management, and adherence to operational and design standards
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electromechanical systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. We are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.

This is an exempt salaried role.

Annual Base Pay
$111,000$140,000 USD
