Role Description
As Form Energy’s Engineering Manager of Pilot Operations, you’ll build a team of mechanical, process and quality engineers responsible for operating our first integrated pilot manufacturing lines. In this role, you will use your experience introducing new manufacturing technologies to drive best practices from equipment qualification through process validation and ongoing operation. You will lead as an empathetic manager to develop a well-rounded engineering team and foster career growth for your team. As a technically savvy manager, you will drive production development, leading the manufacturing scale up effort while developing a culture of excellence in manufacturing as Form moves from pilot into full-scale production.
This opportunity is based out of Form Energy's Eighty Four, PA location (greater Pittsburgh region).

Manage and grow a world-class, multidisciplinary engineering team that delivers on critical objectives advancing Form Energy's manufacturing effortsPartner with colleagues across Form Energy to determine and drive manufacturing engineering prioritiesDrive manufacturing development processes, guiding and mentoring engineers from concept through deliveryLead best practice development, from design processes through engineering tool selection and industry standards applicationFoster the development of Form's engineers through live coaching, technical training, review processes, and informal supportWhat you'll bring:
Passion for our mission, sustainability, and climate change7+ years manufacturing development experience with at least 3 in a leadership roleDemonstrated track record of developing and scaling manufacturing processes and equipment in materials-focused industries Strong technical communication skills, from internal coordination to external alignmentDemonstrated experience in driving down manufacturing costs while maintaining or improving product quality for complex electromechanical assembliesB.S. or higher in engineering or physical science(s)Experience in high-temperature manufacturing processes is a plus
