Engineering Manager, Flight Control System Integration & Test

We are dedicated to cultivating an equitable and inclusive environment that embraces our differences, and supports and celebrates all of our team members.</span></p></div><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Build, mentor and inspire a world class team with expertise in avionics integration and test and a strong focus on automation.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the build and management of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Flight Controls &amp; Avionics Integration labs.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Define and continuously improve processes to develop verification procedures, execute non-conforming and comforming tests, and document test results.&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Select tools and ensure that the verification tools are qualified as needed to comply with the RTCA DO-330 standard.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Propose and manage budgets and resources for the team, define roadmaps and schedules, organize and prioritize the work, track and communicate progress.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) both to assess the maturity of the design under test, and to continuously improve the efficiency of our infrastructure and test processes.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Foster team collaboration, promote and support personal development. </span></li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Need</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">10+ years of experience in a related field.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">2+ year experience as a hiring manager.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with requirements based testing, preferably applying ARP4754A, DO-178C,&nbsp; or similar guidelines.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with continuous integration &amp; test tools like TeamCity or Jenkins, and test automation frameworks.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with at least one scripting language, preferably Python.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Background using Polarion, DOORS or similar requirements management tools.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Degree in engineering management, technical management, or business administration.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with tool qualification complying with the RTCA DO-330 standard.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.</span></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><h5><span style="font-weight: 400;">Archer is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
