Your Role and your Team:

You will report directly to the  Head of Electronic & Electrical Engineering. Your team has been established to focus on the continuous validation and optimization of Electric Propulsion system. You will be responsible for design, development, test and certification of key design elements of the Lilium Jet. Additional responsibilities will include the growth and development of the team that reports to you, engagement with key strategic suppliers, process & methods development.

Your Day to Day:

  • Manage, train, develop and mentor your engineering team
  • Technically supervise and ensure on time delivery of all tasks/projects undertaken by your team
  • Responsibility for suppliers on all technical work packages and deliverables
  • Responsible to establish best practices, tools, and processes in accordance with relevant aerospace standards
  • Work on any ad-hoc related tasks or projects

Your Profile:

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience gained working in a complex engineering organization, including delivering aerospace design development and certification projects
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in leadership & management of technical personnel, including an understanding of aerospace skills and capability requirements and aerospace delegation/approval processes
  • Demonstrable experience in working with cross-functional teams, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and cultural sensitivity to ensure effective working with a community from many different backgrounds
  • Specific experience with System Engineering and Engineering Project Management would be extremely advantageous
  • Specific experience with Technical (Design engineering) methods development and training would be extremely advantageous
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluency in German or any other language would be beneficial
