What You’ll Do:
- Help develop the mass properties tool from the ground up
- Track the mass properties and have reports to the engineering team
- Track mass properties risk and opportunities
- Familiarize themselves with every piece of hardware on the aircraft
- Have following characteristics:
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
- Willing to learn and be uncomfortable in new roles/tasks
- Critical thinking and assessment of whether mass properties are legit
- Will be familiar with:
- Mass properties tracking in aerospace or similar fields
- Database usage and implementation (not coding, but needs to understand how to use and specific features in databases)
- Aerospace specifically aircraft type hardware familiarity (knows what an INS is vs a Wing)
- Other mass property tools used in Aerospace or similar fields
- CAD (NX/SW/whatever we're using
- Python or matlab
- Typical MS office type apps, excel ninja skills
What You Need:
- 5-15 years of engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in CAD (Solidworks, NX, etc.)
- Familiarity with Mil-Spec fasteners
- Hands-on experience in multiple technical fields especially those related to carbon composite and metallic structures
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- Positive can-do attitude
Bonus Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Familiarization with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or other scheduling software.
- Knowledge of, and experience within, electric powertrain systems or aerospace systems.
- Thorough understanding of engineering product development including design phases, manufacturing processes and global supply chain management.
- Familiarization with Atlassian Jira and Confluence for task management and collaborative documentation.
- Experience supporting vehicle development from concept/prototype aircraft phase through certification and mass production
- Part 23 Certification Experience and/or experience working with ARP4754A.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $115,200 - $144,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
