Rivian’s Infotainment team is looking out for a candidate who can contribute to the design, development and validation of infotainment platforms for current/next generation Rivian vehicles. Candidate should be detail-oriented and have strong analytical and debugging skills, strong communication skills (written and verbal), working with teams across multiple time zones.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, and integrate low-level drivers across multiple HLOS frameworks to enable use cases and experiences for vehicle infotainment.
- Work on all areas of embedded software with a focus on platform bring-up, display/touch drivers, power management.
- Debug real time issues reported in an actual vehicle test drive
- Resolve complex issues in a timely manner
- Fast prototyping for feasibility study of future use case scenarios
Basic Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill and/or ability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- 6+ experience on embedded platforms using C/C++, preferably in consumer electronics or automotive industry.
- Experience with low level device drivers and troubleshooting.
- A good understanding of operating system concepts (memory management, synchronization objects, threading models).
- Experience in one or more of the following HLOS environments: Android, QNX, Automotive Grade Linux
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working Experience with Android, QNX & Hypervisors
- Experience with display interface standards such as HDMI/DSI/eDP .
- Hands-on experience bringing up embedded display system, while working closely with a hardware team.
- Worked on initializing, configuring, and bringing up display serializers.
