Internship Program Summary:

The 2023 Summer Internship Program is open to current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing majors in related fields.

The goal of the Program is to provide students with hands-on, industry experience while offering the opportunity to make valuable contributions at Team Electra.

In this role, you will:

  • Assemble and test Electra’s novel electrochemical cells
  • Perform electroanalytical measurements to help develop fundamental understanding of Electra’s electrochemical processes
  • Work closely with senior R&D team members on electrochemical cell design (membrane, catalyst geometry, etc.) and design of experiments
  • Communicate research findings in an end-of-term presentation to the technical team

Qualifications: 

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a graduate degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field with a research focus on electrochemistry

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Basic wet chemistry laboratory safety knowledge
  • Experience with aqueous electrochemical systems
  • Familiarity with electroanalytical measurements such as cyclic voltammetry, coulometry, chronoamperometry, chronopotentiometry, rotating disk electrodes, microelectrodes, etc.
  • Experience building electrochemical cells

Compensation:

  • The pay rate for this position is $33.00 per hour

 

This internship is in Boulder, CO.  Non-local candidates are encouraged to apply.  However, no relocation assistance or coordination will be provided by Electra.
