Are you an experienced electrical engineer excited by the challenge of designing robust, high-power systems to drive the future of energy? Join Proxima Fusion to lead the development of power systems for next-generation stellarator fusion plants. You'll play a pivotal role in developing and integrating DC high-current power supplies, protection systems, and infrastructure.
Lead the specification, development and integration of power supply and protection systems for superconducting magnets;
Contribute to the definition of requirements and design specifications for stellarator power systems;
Model, simulate, and test power system components under realistic operational loads;
Coordinate closely with engineering and operations teams across Proxima ;
Support safety case development and compliance with electrical standards and regulations.
A hands-on power systems engineer with 5+ years of experience designing and delivering large-scale, high-reliability electrical power systems;
Experienced with system protection design, grounding strategies, EMC, and compliance with relevant electrical safety standards;
Comfortable working across disciplines in fast-paced prototype and early-product environments;
Excited to build and scale infrastructure from the ground up, including supplier engagement and building internal capabilities.
