About The Role:
The Electrical Engineer leads the electrical scope of projects for Crusoe’s Digital Flare Mitigation systems. They are responsible for driving project execution and ensuring the overall system meets expectations. They often function as Project Manager for projects that include significant electrical scope, defining the tasks required to complete a project. They communicate expectations throughout the project team and coordinate efforts with the different groups at Crusoe.
You will use engineering principles and design software to help design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability. You will operate computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. You will direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements. You will inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. You will develop budgets, estimate labor, material, and construction costs. Additionally, you will perform other duties assigned to you by the Company.
A Day In The Life:
Manage assigned projects
Technical leadership for design and specification of electrical scope
Develops, implements, and reviews project plans, proposals, and objectives.
Assigns responsibilities and builds schedules based on project specifications; recommends plan and schedule changes, as needed.
Designs, procures, and installs electrical equipment for the Company at field locations throughout the United States and internationally, as needed.
Responsible for electrical equipment, including transformers, high voltage wiring, and computing.
Serves as contact for vendors and customers related to deployments.
Develops project budgets and adheres to respective budgets.
You Will Thrive In This Role If:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred
7+ years of experience in project engineering and project management related to electrical substations, power generation, or power distribution is required
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role. The ideal candidate should possess the capacity to apply extensive and varied knowledge of principles and practices across a wide range of tasks
Demonstrated ability as a self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks, consistently initiating and completing projects with minimal supervision, while maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity
Experience working in the oil and gas sector is very helpful
Ability to travel to the field up to 25%, or as required
Exceptional project management skills
Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and influence peers
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Professional Registration (PE) preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation Range:
Salary will be paid in the range of $130,000 - $200,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
