Be a part of the AI revolution with sustainable technology at Crusoe. Here, you'll drive meaningful innovation, make a tangible impact, and join a team that’s setting the pace for responsible, transformative cloud infrastructure.

About This Role

Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI Factory company dedicated to accelerating the abundance of energy and intelligence. We are seeking a Director of Supply Chain - Power to lead the commercial, strategic sourcing, and supply chain execution for all major power systems. This is a critical, high-impact role responsible for owning the global supply chain for gas turbines, reciprocating engines, high- and medium-voltage transformers, switchgear, control systems, and other balance of power plant equipment. Your work will directly support Crusoe's multi-billion-dollar project pipeline by building a resilient supply foundation and implementing the world-class rigor required for a scaling, high-growth technology company. You will report directly to the VP of Procurement. This is a full-time position based in Denver, CO.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Global Supply Chain Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive global supply strategy for all power categories. This strategy must directly support Crusoe's rapid operational execution and long-term objectives in power systems, leveraging our scale to secure preferential access, pricing, and technology roadmaps.

  • Executive Negotiations: Lead complex, multi-million dollar negotiations for Master Purchase Agreements (MPAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs), securing favorable commercial terms and robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Supply Chain Resilience: Develop and implement robust supply chain risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply for critical components. Proactively identify and model long-lead-time threats, utilizing strategic inventory or risk-sharing agreements to accelerate project schedules.

  • Vertical Integration Input: Serve as the primary category expert to the Power and Energy Development teams, providing detailed Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models and deep market intelligence to inform executive "Build vs. Buy" decisions with our manufacturing group (Crusoe Industries).

  • Financial Control Framework: Partner closely with the Procurement Shared Services team to enforce and drive adoption of the organization's procurement policy and financial control framework.

  • Auditable Sourcing Practices: Enforce strict financial controls and documented sourcing practices for high-value expenditures, ensuring transparency and auditability throughout the commercial decision-making process.

  • Performance Tracking: Establish and maintain category-specific performance metrics (e.g., On-Time Delivery, Price Variance, Cycle Time) and present performance updates to senior leadership and cross-functional forums.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Category Managers and Specialists focused on supporting the Power Infrastructure Group (PIG) and Energy Development.

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal business leaders, ensuring procurement is involved early to frame and solve commercial problems, moving the function from transactional support to a strategic enabler.

  • Resolving Roadblocks: Use influence and internal partnership to drive solutions for systemic issues that extend beyond Procurement (e.g., ensuring timely supplier payments and aligning payment terms with financial planning and liquidity goals).

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Experience & Education: 10–12 years of progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related technical field.

  • Deep Technical Expertise: 5+ years of direct experience managing the procurement of high-CapEx industrial equipment, with non-negotiable expertise in turbines, transformers, or switchgear.

  • High-Growth Leadership: Proven track record of successfully managing and mentoring a team in a rapidly scaling or high-growth industrial/technology environment.

  • Process Discipline: Experience implementing or operating within a rigorous financial control environment and familiarity with formalized Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba).

  • Influence & Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment at all levels of the organization.

Bonus Points

  • Advanced Degree: MBA or advanced degree.

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the vertically integrated power generation, data center, or renewables sector.
