Position: Director, Supply Chain Operations

Location: Remote and/or Mid-West

We are looking for an energetic and innovative leader to direct all of Pivot Bio’s supply chain operations (purchasing, packaging, inventory, distribution), both in the US and internationally. This position will be part of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain team and have the ultimate responsibility of getting all of Pivot Bio’s products safely and efficiently packaged and delivered to all of our growers around the world. This role is critical due to the intensive demands of agriculture where timelines often shift requiring flexibility and speed from the companies helping to keep the farmers supplied with what they need when they need it.

Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain a QEH&S (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) first culture throughout all supply chain operations.
• Develop a culture where exceeding expectations is the norm, both within Pivot Bio and with all third-party service providers.
• Pivot Bio strives to “delight our customers” with best-in-class product quality, delivery timing, and experience.
• Develop and implement a rolling 5-year strategy and budget to enable and support Pivot Bio’s aggressive growth plans, both domestically and internationally.
• Optimize internal/external logistics.
• Build and manage a diverse and distributed Supply Chain Operations team. 
• Ensure the right facilities and capabilities are in place at the right time and in the right location(s).
• Ensure the right tools are being developed, utilized, and maintained (equipment, machines, software, hardware, and communications).
• Ensure proper risk assessments are routinely completed and mitigation plans are in place.
• Negotiate optimal contracts and pricing with all vendors and service providers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration (supply chain and logistics focus); other educational backgrounds considered with relevant industry experience. 
• Must have >10 years’ experience building out and managing supply chain operations infrastructure and teams. 
• Must have international supply chain operations experience.
• Experience in the agriculture industry is strongly preferred.
