Position Title: Director, Procurement Operations
Reports To: Vice President, Procurement
Location: Westlake Village, CA or REMOTE (USA) with some travel

About the role
You will be the hand of our VP, Procurement, owning the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Action Plan tracking and reporting for a growing team of 15-20 professionals. You will leverage your expert skills in project management and communication as the glue across the Procurement team – furthermore, you will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, commercial and product, construction.  Your success will be highly visible to the COO and CEO.

What you will do

  • Interact directly and regularly with the Procurement Team, key suppliers, and our execution teams.
  • Further your deep understanding of our renewable energy storage industry, our products, services, and technology, our processes, our people, and our customers.
  • Own the progress, communication, and monthly reporting for KPIs to the senior leadership team.
  • Facilitate Procurement meetings including guest appearances from the COO and other groups.
  • Prepare and update slides for Board and other stakeholder presentations.
  • Create, update, share, automate, and tell stories from spreadsheets and data dashboards – use data to influence and drive key recommendations and decisions.
  • Collaborate, follow up with, and influence engineers and other technical professionals regarding goals, timelines, budgets, challenges, and bottlenecks.

  • What a qualified candidate should possess

  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree in an engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 10+ years related experience in complex technical organizations.
  • Proven success in project management of complex programs.
  • Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and different types of project management software.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with complex budgets and forecasting.
  • Stellar attention to detail.
  • Ability to use good judgment, prioritize, and limit detail with executives.
  • Track record of building and improving upon processes that make sense.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, as well as emotional intelligence.
  • Proven success and flexibility operating under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, rapid growth environments.
  • Experience in a public company is a plus.
