Instead of navigating the complex process yourself, RenewaFi helps you buy and sell renewable energy quickly, securely, and without unnecessary transaction fees.

We are seeking to hire an experienced power originator with a strong background in renewable energy contracting and power hedging. You will have the opportunity to join a cutting-edge, venture capital-backed climate tech startup and manage your own book of business. You will work with RenewaFi’s CEO to drive business development efforts and assume a key position at the company. Key responsibilities of this role include new client acquisition and engaging existing clients to ensure healthy marketplace activity.

Qualifications
  • A rolodex of industry contacts with LSEs, REPs, merchant power shops, banks, and/or large US corporations/energy consumers
  • A solid track record of successful (V)PPA, EEI and/or ISDA negotiation and execution
  • Confidence in her/his ability to lead and manage own book of business
  • A passion for renewable energy (renewables experience is not required)
  • Integrity
 
Nice-to-haves
  • A strong understanding of structured power hedges
  • 7+ years of experience in power
  • 5+ years of wholesale origination experience in multiple deregulated markets
  • Commodity and renewable energy contracting risk analysis skills
  • Experience managing teams
  • Previous technology and/or start-up experience
