About the company:

Crusoe exists to bring energy to ideas. We are the pioneers of clean computing infrastructure that reduces both the costs and the environmental impact of the world’s expanding digital economy. By unlocking stranded sources of energy to power cloud and data center services, we are creating the climate-aligned future of compute-intensive innovation that reduces rather than adds to emissions. The world’s appetite for computation, energy, and progress will never stop growing. Crusoe is here to bring energy to ideas in ways that are aligned with the needs of our climate.

Crusoe Energy is on a mission to unlock value in stranded energy resources through the power of computation.

We aim to align the long term interests of the climate with the future of global computing infrastructure. As data centers consume an exponentially growing power footprint to deliver technology to all connected devices, we are inspired by making sure that the energy meeting that demand is sourced in an environmentally responsible fashion. Crusoe co-locates mobile data centers with stranded energy resources, like flare gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions. Crusoe Cloud is a managed cloud services platform powered by stranded energy that enables climate-friendly innovation in computationally intensive fields including artificial intelligence, graphics rendering, and computational biology.

About the Role:

At Crusoe, we are building the World’s Favorite AI-first Cloud.  Our vertically-integrated AI cloud platform empower organizations worldwide to achieve unparalleled performance, ease-of-use, and reliability for their AI applications. We are seeking a visionary Director (or Senior Director) of Product Management to lead our Managed Artificial Intelligence software product strategy.  Through Managed Artificial Intelligence, we aspire to make AI exploration and the creation and serving of ML models effortless.  This capability is critical to enabling enterprises and software startups to incorporate AI into the fabric of their applications without requiring them to hire ML experts who can “roll their own” complex machine learning systems.

While initially focused on crafting product strategy, over time you will lead a team of talented product managers, working closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver best-in-class AI creation experiences.  Your expertise in AI, cloud infrastructure technologies, and market trends will be instrumental in expanding our leadership position in the industry.

A Day In The Life:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Managed Artificial Intelligence product portfolio.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and validate product concepts.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and data science teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

  • Gather and prioritize customer feedback, translating insights into actionable product requirements.

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies and support successful product launches.

  • Define and monitor key product metrics, using data-driven insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry thought leaders.

  • People-lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Stay at the forefront of cloud and AI advancements and industry trends, ensuring our products remain cutting-edge and competitive.

You Will Thrive In This Role If You Have:

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing standalone AI products, not just AI features of products.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Advanced degree is a bonus)

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with 5+ years in a management role.

  • High EQ.

  • Strong technical understanding of cutting-edge machine learning architectures and deep insights into 3-year AI trends.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically as needed, and to be detail-oriented.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Extensive experience in collaborating with top-level executives.

  • Passionate about AI and dedicated to driving innovation in the field.

  • Fast-growth startup experience, as opposed to only big tech experience (is a bonus)

  • Direct experience in managing AI hardware projects such as GPU infrastructure projects (is also a bonus)

Benefits:

  • Hybrid work schedule

  • Industry competitive pay

  • Restricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology company

  • Health insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents

  • Employer contributions to HSA accounts

  • Paid Parental Leave

  • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability

  • Teladoc

  • 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary

  • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule

  • Cell phone reimbursement

  • Tuition reimbursement

  • Subscription to the Calm app

  • MetLife Legal

  • Company paid commuter benefit; $50 per pay period

Compensation Range

Compensation will be paid in the range of $285,000 - $330,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicants knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
