Director of Finance & Strategy, Corporate and G&A

About the company:

Hi. We're Impossible Foods, and we make meat, dairy and fish from plants. Our mission is to make the global food system truly sustainable by eliminating the need to make food from animals. Why? Animal agriculture uses a tremendous amount of the world's natural resources. In 2016, we launched our first product, the Impossible™ Burger. It's delicious, nutritious, and made using but a small fraction of the land, water and energy required to make meat from a cow.

We are looking for a proven leader to lead the Corporate and G&A branch of our Finance & Strategy team. The Director, reporting to the VP of Finance & Strategy, will play a key leadership role across Finance and Impossible Foods. This role is highly visible, responsible for leading planning and providing broad decision support and analytics to business leaders. The ideal candidate will have significant experience establishing strong business and financial planning processes, as well as being a thought leader and team builder who is adept at solving complex business problems with a bias for action, amidst ambiguity in a rapidly growing and scaling global company.

You Will:

  • Own and drive continuous improvement and scale across all planning processes and cadence, including business planning, near and long-term corporate planning, ongoing business reviews, financial and operating metrics reporting, and ad-hoc corporate strategic projects.
  • Provide insights and financial leadership to guide strategic decision making and prioritization aligned with company strategies and goals, including in-depth analysis of business drivers and their corresponding impact to company financials and forecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Lead the development of near and long-term corporate-level financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow) and operating and capital expense plans, including the tracking of key investments and performance metrics.
  • Own the analytical output and support the development of materials for Management Reviews, Close Reviews, and Board of Directors Meetings.
  • Develop strong collaborative partnerships across the company and within the Finance team to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Evolve and scale financial planning systems, processes, and internal controls to ensure best in class financial discipline and data integrity, as well as to deliver forecast accuracy and analytics.

You Have:

  • 12+ years of experience in Finance, with 7+ years in a management role in a high growth, scaling business; experience at a publicly traded company is appreciated.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; advanced degree or postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate, influence, and lead in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building and developing high-performance teams.
  • Experience in scaling and optimizing financial processes, controls, and financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to present fact-based analysis, reasoned insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Exposure to international operations, various business models and global complexity, ideally including experience entering new markets.
