Nispera’s software technology uses fully automated data acquisition, analysis and computational algorithms powered by artificial intelligence to ensure efficient operation of renewable energy assets around the world.

As the Director of Data Science, you will provide technology leadership and partner with cross-functional teams to develop and guide our battery storage and renewable solutions for our APM platform. 

•Lead, manage and mentor a team of Data Scientists working on Machine Learning algorithms and statistical models to analyze renewable assets performance 

•Provide technical leadership for APM analytics solutions

•Work with Software Engineering and Product Management teams to design, deploy and monitor data analysis tools

•Instill a culture of R&D in the Data Science team with the goal of constant improvement in algorithm performance

•Expand team through hiring as needed

•Model and cultivate a culture of inclusivity, trust, exceptional communication, collaboration, respect, continuous learning, and enthusiasm for our work

•10+ years of experience working with Data Science applications.

•3+ years of experience working on battery storage technologies.

•Strong background in Python programming for scientific applications.

•3+ years of experience building and leading engineering and/or Data Science teams 

•MSc in STEM, PhD a plus

•Hands on experience with AI-models a plus

•Knowledge of the Energy industry a plus

•Experience working with relational or timeseries databases and cloud technologies a plus.

•Demonstrated ability to  collaborate with cross-functional teams and build solid working relationships — from individual contributors to executives

•Experience working and delivering products or services in an agile/lean environment

•Excellent communication skills
