What you'll do:

  • Oversee all of Human Resource (HR) Operations (i.e., policies and process through the employment lifecycle), as well as HR Systems. 
  • Own and oversee four pillars of HR, including Compliance, Employee Relations, HR Systems and Business Partnering (managing daily support from the business through our HR Business Partners). 
  • Define a People compliance strategy with a roadmap for implementation, including all communications and processes for compliance with federal and state laws 
  • Enhance processes around case management, collaboration and handoffs with other stakeholders, maintaining Employee relations policies and practices, and establishing consistent expectations and communications with employees.
  • Coach and assist managers in developing performance management/corrective action plans. Predict high-impact issues and recommend solutions.
  • Directly conduct or oversee investigations that tend to be most complex, have significant risk or are high visibility situations to successful resolution. Act as a collaborator and consulting partner for the HR team and business partners
  • Manage a team of HR business partners and generalists , developing skills through leading the team through solutions and ensuring collaboration with the business 
  • Provide consultative support and guidance to managers on implementation / execution of core People programs.
  • Lead to drive excellence in labor relations, mitigate risk, manage change and grow organizational capability to successfully enable business-driven change of people, organization and culture
  • Participate in labor contract negotiations as necessary 
  • Lead efforts, in partnership with Legal, for Company changes that have potential bargaining needs with unions, communication protocols, etc

What you need: 

  • 12+ years experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years leading people
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to consult, coach and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
  • Is committed to the highest standards of excellence, confidentiality, and personal integrity.
  • Demonstrates solid judgment and experience assessing risk relative to the business
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills applied at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience learning and leading in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams; experience driving diversity & inclusion strategies
  • Deep understanding of and ability to be impartial, use sound judgment, especially when it comes to decisions, confidential documents, and communications.
  • Sound knowledge of [global] employment laws and regulations with a high bar for integrity.
  • Demonstrated experience to influence and strategically solve problems
