Director, Global Business Services

THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• The Director, Global Business Services is a senior leader in GBS, working directly with the Head of GBS on design, strategy, and implementation of all areas of the function. You’ll be leading and building a high performing team and have exposure to senior stakeholders throughout the organization. Rivian is a fast-paced, fast-growing Company, and this role will help scale the function alongside overall business growth. This role will set the strategy for streamlining processes/technology as well as driving team performance.  
• Oversee the GBS function, including:
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Process and Policy Transformations
• Customer service, including external and internal stakeholders
• Strategically increase the GBS footprint by identifying areas within Rivian that can be brought into scope of GBS, including related transitions / implemetnations
• Achieve GBS objectives by working with / through your direct and indirect reports
• Build, maintain and grow relationships with key senior stakeholders in the business
• Prioritize evolving business needs in clear actions with tangible outcomes
• Foster a collaborative mindset in your direct team and with our partner organizations, leveraging your experience of managing outsourcing partners and influencing decision making across end-to-end processes
• Act as an owner of the business, working with stakeholders to solve problems without being afraid to fail and continually facing challenges head on
• Provide strategic and project management support on complex issues and special projects as required, while maintaining focus on operational excellence within day-to-day operations
• Delivering processes in compliance with internal controls, and supporting external and internal audit processes as required
• Proven ability to challenge existing capabilities and oversee improvement efforts (people, processes, and systems)

THIS IS WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor's Degree required (plus professional accreditation preferrable)
• 12+ years of progressive experience within a GBS or similar function, including procure to pay, order to cash, project management, people leadership
• Demonstrated ability to coach and lead teams within a shared services or outsourcing organization, including internal and external teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including when involving cross-functional teams
• Learning and change agility regarding a rapidly growing landscape across people, processes, and technology
• Demonstrated understanding of standard processes within GBS and ability to execute on governance models
• Experience working with internal and external control frameworks and auditors
