About the Role

We are looking for a driven and strategic Director of FP&A who is passionate about building a world-class FP&A team at an organization making a meaningful difference in the world. In this role, you will continue to build out a high-performing team and implement processes and systems that scale with Aurora’s hyper-growth and set the company up for future success. This position also oversees the Procurement function, which is a crucial part of the company’s strategy to grow responsibly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and execution of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes

  • Play a key role in the long-term strategic planning processes

  • Review and evolve KPI reporting that provides impactful insights

  • Continuously improve and assist with Board and Executive reporting

  • Find opportunities to optimize spend and work to reduce costs and inefficiencies

  • Monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing the root causes of variances to deliver valuable insight and recommendations

  • Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes and make full use of forecasting and financial system capabilities that will allow us to continue to scale rapidly and globally

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand, distill, and communicate ongoing and evolving business trends that will drive management decisions and action

  • Perform frequent ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions

  • Work with the accounting team on month-end close to derive accurate and timely reporting that helps identify variances from expectations and trends

  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, experience conducting sophisticated quantitative and qualitative financial analysis, and ability to generate data-driven insights

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels throughout the company

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with big-picture strategic understanding

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of SaaS business models and experience in analyzing SaaS metrics

  • In-depth understanding of financial statements and GAAP
