We are currently seeking a Director of Corporate Development to lead the establishment of Lucid’s corporate development function. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. The Role:

  • Build the team, processes and corresponding systems for Lucid’s corporate development function
  • Lead M&A, investment and joint venture processes, including sourcing, evaluation of business model attractiveness, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing
  • Build relationships with leaders at emerging and established companies as well as with investment banking and venture capital firms
  • Coordinate transaction processes across teams including engineering, product, design, finance, accounting, legal and business development
  • Identify, research and recommend industries, companies and technologies for Lucid to evaluate from an M&A, investment or joint venture perspective and analyze the company's objectives and identify, recommend and pursue technologies that can accelerate those goals
  • Develop and maintain models, dashboards and presentations that track and analyze our industry, as well as prospective M&A opportunities
  • Qualifications:

  • A strategic, driven and analytical mindset with a passion for transforming the automotive and mobility industry
  • 12+ years of relevant dealmaking experience, whether in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, management consulting or otherwise
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and broad quantitative analysis with a familiarity of basic accounting principles
  • Experience in working effectively with cross-functional senior executives in a fast-changing environment

  • Prior experience in automotive, mobility, and relevant adjacent sectors

  • Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business, engineering or other relevant fields
  • MBA preferred, but not required
