The Role:

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Digital Manufacturing Engineer who applies Lilium’s revolutionary product & business model to the development of a state-of-the-art production system. The Digital Manufacturing Engineer will take end-to-end responsibility over Lilium’s production digital systems and shop floor implementation in order to enable data driven manufacturing solutions.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Head of Industrial Engineering. You will be a key driver for the design, integration, and implementation of Lilium’s digital manufacturing tools. Your Day to Day:

  • Take ownership of complex and dynamic manufacturing tools implementation as a Product Owner
  • Capture business requirements with various stakeholders to deliver digital products for our shopfloor and Manufacturing Engineering Teams
  • Identify and close gaps between the business processes and the identified digital tool
  • Closely collaborate with DevOps team for project implementation and roll out
  • Make Data Driven decisions and be closely involved in developing the Manufacturing software architecture
  • Plan and perform Key User Training, Testing and User Acceptance Test
  • Introduce and support new digital technologies such as MPM, ERP and MES
  • Play a key-role in identification and selection of digital tools

Your Profile:

  • University degree in Industrial engineering, Manufacturing engineering or comparable
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
  • Experience with creation of MBOM, Routing, FMEA and Control Plans
  • Experience with Part 21 G/ ISO 9001 / EN 9100 manufacturing and quality processes
  • Experience with manufacturing systems such as MPM, ERP, and MES systems (e., Team Center, Proplanner, SAP, Infor, Op Center)
  • Experience with agile project management preferred (e.g. JIRA, confluence)
  • Strong process- and analytical-thinking capabilities
  • Solution Oriented and think outside the box mentality
  • Good understanding of manufacturing methodologies and technologies
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
