In this role you will be responsible for leading a development program with a key partner. The solution will consist of a digital application that increases market liquidity for buying, selling, and managing renewable energy. You will work with a cross functional team with experts from different departments within Fluence and potentially outsourced teams. You will be the responsible for product management of this new suite of digital applications and will guide, track, and monitor the development steps, delivering the product on time and within budget for Fluence. You will interface with the commercial and marketing teams in creating the go-to-market strategy.

In your new role you will act as key point of contact with the co-development partner and their executive leadership team and Fluence Executive Sponsors. You will own this product development end-to-end and be responsible for its launch to the market.

Responsibilities

Understand Fluence’s business and growth strategy; Ideate and create a co-development product roadmap with our strategic alliance partner in digital market services that advances that strategy. You will own this product line and will need to advocate for it at the executive level, as well as manage an agile team executing the roadmap.

Understand how Fluence digital applications can compliment and fit together with our partner’s applications and create a value-driven co-development product roadmap.

Manage the co-development roadmap, understand and prioritize the work so the team is working on the most impactful items and keep the big picture in mind.

Translate problems and opportunities into actionable tasks. You will define and frame requirements and track these.

Own and maintain the product with the team and deliver world-class solution with our co-development partner

Constantly evaluate if your product is meeting the specifications and requirements. You use qualitative and quantitative techniques to track the success.

Responsible for the schedule and technical performance, and works with commercial and strategy teams to develop pricing and commercial models

Develops program plans (resource loaded schedules and budgets)

Identifies and assists in the development of patentable intellectual property

Have an understanding of the fundamentals of electricity markets and commercial models for development of renewable energy and energy storage

Have an understanding of digital applications, requirements definition and KPI development

You place a high value on regular stakeholder feedback and can translate that feedback into meaningful business requirements and technical requirements.

Experience defining customer personas and journeys, and using them to inform design decisions and product roadmap

Ability to distill complex and ambiguous situations into impactful plans for the team

Experience leading a team through a complex product development program

Education & Experience

Quantitative undergraduate degree such as engineering, computer science, mathematics or economics, advanced degree preferred (MBA or other quantitative field)

3+ years working experience with market intelligence platforms or digital energy products, preferably as a product manager

5+ years energy industry experience (3+ years if relevant advanced degree), preferably at an energy company with a digital product focus

Product Management skills and experience required

Requirements setting and management experience

Familiar with Agile methods, Jira a plus

Strong technical communication skills
