Zoox is transforming mobility-as-a-service by developing a fully autonomous, purpose-built fleet designed for AI to drive and humans to enjoy.
The Data team turns autonomous vehicle and operational data into insights that measure autonomy and service readiness at Zoox. In this role, you’ll partner with AI, simulation, and mission assurance teams to drive improvements, guide development, and identify high-impact opportunities toward autonomy.
You’ll help define how geospatial data and metrics are used across the company, enabling Zoox to scale in a data-driven way while working with one of the industry’s most unique autonomous vehicle datasets.

In this role, you will:
Build data pipelines of geospatial featuresIntegrate internal and external geospatial data to enhance our datasetsCollaborate with multiple teams to prioritize roadmap on map featuresIdentify key areas of investments for our geospatial datasets and featuresQualifications
Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in CS, statistics, mathematics or relevant fieldsExperience with map data and geospatial data analysisFluency in Python or ScalaFamiliarity with SQLExperience with Spark or large-scale data analysisExperience designing metrics, building mechanisms to fuel business insights, and driving decision-making at various levels in an organizationBonus Qualifications
Experience with Geospatial Information System (GIS), knowledge of earth systems and geospatial sciencesBasic fluency in C++
